“Is that you? Or am I dreaming?” Miki mumbled. Lying on the bed, she knew that she had dreamed of him again. How long had it been since she last saw him? Miki had lost count... She sat on her bed, stared into the total darkness.
*Flashback*
Takuto stopped as he looked back. He had this sad expression on his face. “Miki, I guess it’s time for me to say goodbye to you.”
“Goodbye? What are you saying? You promise me that you will not leave me alone!” Miki was startled.
“I’m not leaving you for good. I’ll come back to you when the time comes.”
“No! Don’t leave me! You’re my only friend here!” Tears rolled down Miki’s cheek.
“Don’t cry Miki. Wait for me. You will understand why I’m leaving you soon. Take care.”
“Takuto! Takuto!”
*End of flashback*
“I still don’t understand… I still don’t understand why you leave me back then”

“It’s morning already? Geez, I’m tired.” Miki yawned as she stretched her hands.
“Good morning Miki!” Karin hugged Miki as a morning greeting.
Karin was Miki’s roommate in college. She was cheerful, friendly and most importantly, beautiful. Her hair was long and silky; she was tall and had big eyes with a beautiful smile. The image she projected was everything that a girl ever wanted. Only Miki knew that she was actually an innocent yet clumsy girl.
On the other hand, Miki was an independent girl who tried hard not to be a burden to others. She was smart and always tied her hair at the back. She also always wore her spectacle though she did not really need it. In fact, she wore those to hide her features; otherwise, she would be beautiful instead of just adorable.
“Argh!” Miki fell down from the bed with Karin, “Karin, my back hurts. This morning greeting is too much for me.” Upon looking at Karin’s innocent yet tearful eyes, Miki sighed. “Well, it’s actually not too bad to be waked up this way.”
“Miki is the best!” Karin hugged Miki tightly. Miki took a peek at the alarm clock and screamed, “We’re late!!!”
