“Miki! Wake up!”

 
“Let me sleep for another five minutes.” Miki had to rush a report the day before, and now she is beat.

 
“It’s Saturday! Let’s go hand in the report and go out shopping!” Karin kept pestering Miki.

 
“Karin, help me hand in the report okay? I’m too tired to even walk. I just want to sleep.”

 
“Miki no baka! I go look for Nuriko, don’t care about you anymore!” Karin stuck out her tongue and ran out of the hostel.

 
“Sorry Karin. I’m just tired. Zzzz…”

 
*Outside the hostel*

 
“Karin!” Takuto waved his hand to Karin.

 
“Takuto? I figure you would come find me. Let’s find a café and talk.”

 
*In the café*

 
“Karin, how is Miki doing these two years? Any pursuers appear?”

 
“Those pursuers are so weak. You worry too much.”

 
“That’s good to hear.”

 
“Takuto, Miki is starting to remember the past. Isn’t that worrying you?” Karin asked as she drank her beverage.

 
“Not at all. Hopefully, she only remembers the sealed memory. I don’t want to get her worry about the Pursuers.”

 
“It’ll only be a matter of time where she would recall everything. I believe this is the right moment to let her know about her past and her… her wings?”

 
“No. It will only cause more pursuers to appear.” Takuto replied after some thinking.

 
“The Pursuers are weak. They can’t do anything with us around.”

 
“That is what been bugging me for quite a while. Why is it after my fight with that strong Pursuer, those who had came for Miki’s life were all so weak? I fear something bad is going on without our knowledge. Maybe I should go back and check it out.”

 
Karin stood up harshly and slapped Takuto. “Don’t do silly things! You’re courting your own death if you ever go back! Don’t forget how hard it was for us to get out of that hellish place!”

 
“I wouldn’t mind if it was for Miki’s sake.”

 
“Precisely it was for Miki’s sake that you should not go back to that place! Who were to protect her if I’m not around? What if something happened to her when you went back? Let’s think of another way! This is too dangerous!”

 
“I had polished my skill while training in the temple. I am not who I am three years ago!”

 
“Don’t be so selfish! Think of Miki. Think of me! You are my only brother left, my only family left! What am I going to do if anything happen to you? I don’t want to lose anyone who is precious to me anymore!” Karin was agitated. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

 
“…” Takuto kept silence.

 
“Please think of our feeling. Please think of the consequences. You just came back, you can’t leave now. If you go, what will happen if you got caught? What if Miki was captured by them when you are gone? Just us alone are not able to save her. This is not the ending we want!”

 
“I guess you’re right.” Takuto answered after calming down.

 
“I’m glad you understand. But promise me one thing. Please don’t go to that place. At least not until we find a solution for this.” Takuto nodded.
